End of Year Dinner & Awards

The Canada Ghana Chamber of Commerce had its annual Dinner and maiden Awards night ceremony on Friday, December 16th, 2022, at Christ the King Parish hall, Accra. Over eighty members (80) attended the event. The event attracted very high dignitaries such as the Senior Trade Commissioner of the Canadian High Commission, Mr. Andrew Maharaj, the first Secretary( Senior Development Officer at Global Affairs Canada), Mrs. Susanne Stump, and the Field Manager of Alinea International, Weenorth Project, Mrs. Nancy Drost, Also in attendance were industry players and CEOs from the mining, energy, oil, and gas industries, amongst others. The awards were honorary and the categories were Ex-Officio, Platinum Members, and Long served members. These awards were given to individuals and organizations for their outstanding contributions to the Chamber. In his opening address, Mr. Alexander Nortey, President of the Chamber expressed gratitude to members for their immense support. He told them that the Chamber is working together with the Trade Commission to promote more trade between the two countries. Andrew Maharaj, Senior Trade Commissioner closing the event said history shows that our prosperity depend on trade. He added by saying trade and international investment will depend on our ability to address major challenges ahead of us such as economic instability. The End of year dinner and awards night was mainly sponsored by members of the Chamber and moderated by Fauzo of Channel 247.
