CANCHAM MEMBER FORUM “National Chocolate Day Edition”

Our events for the year have already started with the Member Forum on the 14th of February dubbed the “NATIONAL CHOCOLATE DAY EDITION”. A tentative schedule of events for the year 2023 was given by the Executive Secretary at the forum, which included a cross-section of members and the Executive Council. A brief outline of events for the first quarter of the year includes, Cancham Independence Day Aerobics and Networking session on a theme “Healthy You, Healthy Business” on March 4 at the Silver Star Rooftop, as well as an International Women’s Day webinar on March 14 and an In-House presentation by new members on March 30, 2023. Mr. Peter Fiamor, the Trade Commissioner, gave a quick overview of the three new trade missions in which the Trade Commission Service of Canadian High Commission will participate this year: the World Petroleum Congress in Calgary, the African Energy Forum in Nairobi, Kenya, and the World Congress 2023 in Montreal. The Senior Trade Commissioner, Mr. Andrew Maharaj, mentioned that members are welcome to speak with the Trade Commission Service team at the Canadian High Commission to explore how to best take advantage of opportunities, such as partnerships and investors. Additionally, he mentioned that they are ready to help add value to their businesses, support SME Financing, and to help build a strong thriving SME sector in Ghana. The President of the Chamber, Mr. Alexander Nortey advised members to have strong business standards to attract foreign investors.
