CANCHAM ANNUAL GENERAL MEETING

The Annual General Meeting (AGM) of the Canada Ghana Chamber of Commerce witnessed the transition of leadership from Former President Mr. Alexander Samuel Nortey to Mrs. Linda Kokui Vasnani, the Co- founder and Chief Operating Officer of Consolidated Shipping Agencies Limited. Held on the 18th of April at the African Regent Hotel, the event marked a significant moment for the Chamber. During his brief remarks, Mr. Nortey highlighted the remarkable growth of the Chamber’s membership, soaring from 60 to approximately 140 members under his leadership. The newly appointed President, Mrs. Vasnani, in her acceptance speech, pledged to uphold the legacy of past Presidents while striving to enhance and advance their accomplishments. She articulated her commitment to fostering the Chamber’s growth by leveraging sound corporate governance practices, facilitating member capacity-building initiatives through training. She urged members to strategically position themselves for bilateral trade and joint ventures, seizing the opportunities afforded them by the African Continental Free Trade Area (AfCFTA). With Mrs. Vasnani at the helm of affairs and her dedicated team by her side, the Canada Ghana Chamber of Commerce looks forward to a future marked by sustained progress and prosperity.
