Trade Mission 2022

The Canada Ghana Chamber of Commerce led by Mrs. Edwina Atta-Sonno attended “The Buildings Show” at the Metro Convention Center, Toronto on November 30th. The delegation comprised of members from the construction, automobile, and energy industries. Members had the chance to attend a number of seminars that were taking place concurrently with the show. At one of the seminar, the speaker discussed significant developments in concrete technology, carbon reduction, and important construction trends. This brought to light some of the major issues facing the construction sector, such as the rising demand for goods with lower embodied carbon and smaller carbon footprints for buildings.
Companies such as Robertson Building Systems exhibited new technologies in the construction sector.
As part of the Trade Mission we visited the Niagara Falls, Ripely Aquarium and CN Tower. Before departing Toronto, we had a business networking dinner on Saturday, December 3rd. This brought together Ghanaian business men and women who are based in Canada from various sector of businesses and delegates from Ghana under one roof to connect and consider collaboration opportunities.
