FATHER’S DAY DINNER WITH PRINCE KOFI AMOABENG

On June 14th, the Canada Ghana Chamber of Commerce (CANCHAM) hosted a special Father’s Day dinner at The African Regent Hotel to honor the men in the Chamber. The special guest for the event was Ghana’s esteemed CEO, Captain (Rtd) Prince Kofi Amoabeng, who is also the Chairman of the PK Amoabeng Leadership Foundation. In his address, Mr. Amoabeng underscored the importance of men demonstrating strong leadership qualities and he encouraged them to act as supportive father figures to their employees. He stressed that “charity begins at home “and urged parents to cultivate good leadership skills in their children in order to prepare them for great roles in the future. Mr. Amoabeng called upon National leaders to embrace innovation, encourage entrepreneurship, and prioritize investments in education and skills development to empower the next generation of Ghanaian leaders. Mrs. Linda Vasnani, President of CANCHAM, added a personal touch by sharing a heartfelt memory of how she used to celebrate Father’s Day with her late Dad. Mr. Edward William Wiafe, Vice President of the Chamber, commended the men for their continuous efforts in providing comfort and security for their families and encouraged them to keep up the good work. In a brief closing remark, Mr. Salah Kweku Kalmoni, Executive Director of Silver Star Tower Limited, congratulated all the men present and expressed his hope to see them at future events. The evening was a memorable celebration of fatherhood and leadership.
