Trade Commissioner, High Commission of Canada, Peter Fiamor has said the Canada Ghana Chamber of Commerce(CANCHAM) is poised to promote bilateral trade between Canada and Ghana, as well as bring on board Canadian solutions to the Ghanaian market.
He said the mining sector especially will benefit from the Canada expert solutions to ensure efficiency.
“We want to be able to collaborate with the chamber members to bring some Canadian solutions into the market. We will look at Canada’s areas of expertise, where we think Canada has a strong role to play, and one is the mining sector. Not the actual mining but the value chain. We are also looking at the products and services that are required in the mining sector to operate more efficiently.
For example, with how to clean after a lot of impact on the environment, there are solutions in that area. There are also a lot of solutions to renewal energy. We know that mining is 24hourse, so you will require energy for you to be able to produce. There are also solar opportunity solutions, “he said.
He was speaking to the media at the Canada-Ghana Chamber of Commerce members’ forum in Accra.
