The new Senior Trade commissioner of Canada Andrew Maharaj, paid a courtesy call on the Canada Ghana Chamber of Commerce (CANCHAM) to announce his presence and also to pledge support for the chamber and its members.
He was met and welcomed by the Executive council members of the chamber.
In his remarks, he mentioned that Canada has a vast market in the mining, Oil & gas, health and Green Energy sectors that Ghana can take advantage of and that Canada’s high technology-driven companies are ready for international partnerships.
The president of the Chamber Mr. Alexander Nortey in his remarks said the chamber needs to position itself to maintain close business ties with Canadian companies so that members get value for their money.
The Executive secretary to the chamber Mrs. Edwina Atta-Sonno thanked the new Senior Trade Commissioner and his team on behalf of the council and wished him well on his new assignment here in Ghana.
