As part of its ongoing engagement with members, the CANCHAM Secretariat visited Associates for Change, a research and consultancy firm specialized in international and social development. Based in Ghana, they conduct quantitative, qualitative, and mixed method research nationally and across the continent for donors, governments, and civil society organizations.  Hence, their focus on education, social policy, governance and development, for an array of international partners, including USAID, DFID, GPEKIX, IDRC and CSEA amongst others.

During the visit, Dr. Leslie Casley-Hayford, the firm's Director, highlighted the organization’s efforts to provide quality education for children in conflict zones in Burkina Faso, Nigeria, Liberia, and Sierra Leone. Their innovative approach integrates play-based and home-based learning strategies to help these children build confidence in a supportive environment to continue their education.                                                                                                                                                    Our Executive Secretary, Mrs. Edwina Atta-Sonno, commended the initiative and drew parallels to the Secretariat’s recent visit to Osu, where we engaged with schoolgirl dropouts to support their formal and informal education. She expressed her keen interest in potential collaborations between the Chamber and Associates for Change, supporting underprivileged learners in skills development to achieve their aspirations.
